InvestmentNews reported on 22 October 2026 that Kintra Wealth has added Great Scott Financial Services, a practice with about $355 million in client assets. The item ran in the outlet's RIA moves roundup, which also covered two other deals. This article focuses only on the Kintra transaction.

Kintra announced the addition on 20 October 2026. The announcement describes the $355 million as client assets rather than assets under management, so readers comparing it with AUM figures should keep that distinction in mind. According to the release, Scott Seymour has close to 30 years of experience and will hold the Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor role at Kintra while continuing to lead his team. Kintra CEO Andy Harris praised Seymour's reputation for putting clients first.

Great Scott's own website says the firm has joined Kintra and that its team keeps its people and client relationships while gaining broader resources and technology. Its website describes a service range that covers estate and legacy work, tax planning, insurance, investment management, planning across life stages and small-business planning. I found no SEC Form ADV filing for Great Scott Financial Services in the material reviewed, and no founding year or ownership details for the firm were available.

Kintra Wealth was formed through a merger of six wealth firms, according to PlanAdviser's launch coverage, which put the founding firms' combined assets under management above $4 billion. PlanAdviser said Kintra is based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and had offices in eight states at launch. Five of the six founding firms were former Commonwealth Financial Network practices, while Rembrandt Financial Group was independent. LPL Financial's acquisition of Commonwealth was announced in March 2025 and completed that August, a sequence PlanAdviser also reported.

Harris is Kintra's co-founder and chief executive and was previously president of Evergreen Wealth Solutions, PlanAdviser reported. Kintra's SEC Form CRS, dated 3 November 2025, was amended to reflect a name change from Evergreen Wealth Solutions, LLC to Kintra Wealth, LLC, and it states the firm is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser. A McCarthy & Cox page describes Kintra's planned name as Kintra Wealth and says Kintra was formed after one firm chose not to pursue an LPL-linked transition.

Headcount figures differ across sources. PlanAdviser put Kintra at 74 employees at launch, while the October 2026 release describes 75 professionals across the US and more than $4 billion in client assets. The release describes Kintra as an advisor-owned community of wealth management teams. Neither the release nor the coverage reviewed disclosed the price or terms of the Great Scott addition, so those details remain unreported.
