How we build this

We track 12 public companies with wealth and brokerage businesses that we cover. For each one we read its quarterly earnings release and financial supplement (and its monthly metrics release, where it publishes one) on SEC EDGAR, and record the figures for its wealth business exactly as printed, with the document and the date. Private firms such as Edward Jones and Fidelity, and firms taken private such as Focus Financial, Envestnet and CI Financial, don’t publish these numbers.

New filings are checked twice each weekday. Our software reads each new release, and every figure it finds must be quoted from the document and match it before an editor reviews and publishes it.

What it doesn’t show

  • Estimates, guidance, price targets or anything about the stocks. Only what the companies reported.
  • Like-for-like rankings. Each firm defines client assets, net new assets and advisors its own way; the firm pages explain each one.
  • Restatements after the fact, unless noted on the firm’s page.

The data is free to use with credit to Financial ADVSR. Questions or corrections: contact the editors. More data: Financial ADVSR data.

Questions

When do wealth firms report Q3 2026 earnings?

Wells Fargo reported on October 13, 2026, Merrill reported on October 14, 2026, Morgan Stanley reported on October 14, 2026, Interactive Brokers reported on October 15, 2026 and Stifel reported on October 21, 2026. SEI has announced October 21, 2026 and UBS has announced October 28, 2026. Ameriprise, LPL, Raymond James, Robinhood and Schwab haven’t announced a date yet.

Which wealth firm reports the most client assets?

Of the 12 public firms tracked here, Charles Schwab reported the most: $13.08T in client assets (“Total client assets”) at the end of Q2 2026. Firms define client assets differently (some count the whole firm, others one wealth segment), so the figures are reported side by side, not ranked as like for like.

Where do these numbers come from?

From each company’s own earnings releases, financial supplements, monthly metrics releases and SEC filings. Every figure links to the document it came from and shows the date it was released. Nothing is estimated or adjusted.

How often is this updated?

New filings are checked on SEC EDGAR twice each weekday. Figures from a new release are checked against the document and reviewed by an editor before they are published here.
