AdvisorHub reported on Friday that Rockefeller Global Family Office had brought in an Atlanta-based team managing $700 million in assets at Truist Bank, citing a source familiar with the move. The group, operating as HPS Wealth Partners, is led by J. Curtis Holton Jr., Frank S. Pittman IV and Alexander P. Sayavongsa, according to the outlet.
AdvisorHub said the team reports to Kristen Sario, whom it identified as Rockefeller's Southeast regional president. The same report said the team produced about $4 million in annual revenue. The $700 million figure is an asset measure, while the $4 million is revenue, and the two should not be compared as if they described the same thing.
At Truist, the group operated as the Holton-Pittman-Sayavongsa Group. AdvisorHub, citing registration records, reported that the group moved to SunTrust from Merrill Lynch in 2017. SunTrust later combined with BB&T to form Truist, which was formed in December 2019, according to Wikipedia.
A Rockefeller spokesperson told AdvisorHub that the firm held $236 billion in client assets across its business units as of the end of September 2026. That is higher than the $187 billion the firm reported as of September 30, 2025, in its own release. The company defines client assets to include AUM, brokerage assets and assets under administration, so the figures are not pure AUM. AdvisorHub also cited a $224 billion figure as of June 30, 2026, drawn from the company website.
Rockefeller Global Family Office is the wealth management division of Rockefeller Capital Management, according to a company release from April 2025. The unit traces its origins to 1882, when it was the family office of John D. Rockefeller, and it was established as an independent advisory firm in 2018. Wikipedia lists the firm's headquarters at 45 Rockefeller Plaza in New York and Greg Fleming as chief executive.
Magnify Money lists the firm's owners as Viking Global Investors funds, a trust representing the Rockefeller family, and firm management. CNBC reported that a 2025 recapitalization brought in Mousse Partners, the investment firm of Chanel's owners, the family office Progeny 3 and Abrams Capital, and that the firm was valued at $6.6 billion afterward. CNBC also reported that Rockefeller typically serves clients with $25 million to $100 million in assets.
AdvisorHub said Truist's registered investment adviser reported more than $77 billion in regulatory AUM in a Form ADV update filed October 14. In a separate item, AdvisorHub noted that Truist's wealth management income for the third quarter reached a high of $407 million, an 8.8% increase from a year earlier. Truist is headquartered at Truist Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, and trades on the NYSE as TFC, according to Wikipedia.
AdvisorHub said the Atlanta team is at least the third Truist team to join Rockefeller in recent weeks, following a $1.2 billion team in Florida last month and a billion-dollar team in North Carolina in September. In a separate report, AdvisorHub covered Piedmont Wealth Partners, a Charlotte team that left Truist for Rockefeller and, per a source, produced $6.2 million in annual revenue and managed $1 billion in assets at Truist. Piedmont's advisors were previously at BB&T Securities.
Atlanta is not new territory for Rockefeller. The company said in October 2023 that it had added Bridgeline Wealth Partners, a four-person Atlanta team formerly at UBS, reporting to Sario. RichmondBizSense reported that Atlanta was Rockefeller's first expansion stop about five years ago, and that the firm's largest operations are in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago.
The sources reviewed for this article do not include a statement from Truist or Rockefeller on the Atlanta move, and the team's move rests on AdvisorHub's reporting from an unnamed source. Further detail on the team's client base or next steps at Rockefeller had not been reported in the sources reviewed.
