Raymond James has added a three-advisor team that previously managed more than $1.5 billion in client assets at PNC Private Bank, according to WealthManagement.com.

WealthManagement.com reported on November 5, 2026 that Raymond James has hired a Washington, D.C.-based trio of advisors who previously oversaw more than $1.5 billion in assets at PNC Private Bank. The advisors operate as KKM Wealth Partners under the Alex. Brown name. Financial Advisor IQ separately reported that Raymond James announced it had lured a team overseeing more than $1.5 billion in client assets from PNC Private Bank.

The team is led by Ken Killfoil, K.C. Koch and Kris Morin, and includes registered client service associate Mallory Schmidt, according to WealthManagement.com. The outlet reported that Killfoil has more than 20 years in financial planning and investment management, including 13 years at PNC Private Bank, and that Koch spent 10 years at PNC Private Bank. WealthManagement.com reported that Morin had worked as a trusts and estates lawyer before entering the wealth business in 2022.

According to WealthManagement.com, the $1.5 billion is an assets-under-management measure of the book the advisors ran at PNC, rather than a price or revenue measure. InvestmentNews reported that the team joins Raymond James & Associates, the firm's employee advisor channel, and that Tony Barrett, North Atlantic regional director for RJA, confirmed the hire. Fa-mag reported that Raymond James announced the hire in a news release. The team's Alex. Brown page says the group operates as a joint practice that draws on combined skills in investing, financial planning, taxes and estates.

Raymond James Financial is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is publicly traded on the NYSE under the symbol RJF, according to Wikipedia. Its advisor channels include RJA and Raymond James Financial Services, both wholly owned subsidiaries of the parent, according to a Raymond James press release. The independent advisor channel, RJFS, has been operating since 1974, that release states. A Raymond James presentation lists Alex. Brown as a division of the firm, with its division headquarters in the Raymond James Financial Center in St. Petersburg. The original Alex. Brown & Sons was founded in Baltimore in 1800 by Alexander Brown, according to Wikipedia. Wikipedia also reports that Raymond James acquired Deutsche Bank's U.S. private client services unit in 2016, which operated under the Alex. Brown name.

WealthManagement.com also reported Raymond James's recruiting totals from fiscal fourth-quarter earnings: $538 million in trailing 12-month production from incoming advisors, up from $407 million, with those advisors representing more than $82 billion in client assets. Production is a revenue-type measure rather than assets under management. The same week, Fa-mag reported a $700 million UBS team in Ohio, which InvestmentNews described as the second team of that size in as many weeks, and a Truist duo managing more than $1.2 billion. Fa-mag reported that the Truist duo, Mintz & Gow in Richmond, joined in September, according to BrokerCheck and Raymond James.

The sources do not give a start date for the KKM team or details of how the transition will be handled. Raymond James's public recruiting page lists other 2026 joins but does not show this team, according to the research notes. Wikipedia reports that in January 2026 Raymond James agreed to acquire Clark Capital Management Group, which has more than $46 billion in assets under management, with a close expected in the third quarter of 2026 pending regulatory approval. That closing was not confirmed in the material reviewed for this article.
