How the scoreboard works

Each Monday we add up the week before, Monday to Sunday, from the Financial ADVSR Moves tracker, which reads the wealth management press and records every reported advisor move: the team, the firms on each side and the client assets as reported. A firm’s net is the assets of the teams it gained minus the assets of the teams it lost. Moves that didn’t disclose assets count toward the team totals but not the net.

Most moves never make the press, so these numbers are a floor, not an industry total. Free to cite with credit to Financial ADVSR and a link to this page. The live list is on the Advisor Moves tracker, and the month adds up in the Advisor Moves Report.
