WealthManagement.com reported on November 6 that CW Advisors, a Boston-based registered investment adviser backed by Osaic and Reverence Capital Partners, has added three firms this year: Yosemite Capital Management, Threadgill Financial and Peddock Capital Advisors. The report said the additions push the firm's total assets under management close to $20 billion across 30 offices. It also said a company spokesperson described the firm as on track to acquire eight firms in 2026, which puts the three completed deals roughly a third of that goal.
According to CityBiz, the three acquisitions add $1.6 billion in assets under management. That same announcement put the firm's total at more than $19.7 billion across 30 offices, a figure slightly below the near-$20 billion that WealthManagement.com cited. The sources do not reconcile the two numbers, and the announcement did not disclose the financial terms of any of the deals.
The Peddock transaction also brought in Peddock Tax Services, a full-service tax practice. The acquisitions add five offices: The Woodlands and League City, Texas; Newport Beach and Fresno, California; and Braintree, Massachusetts. Coverage of the announcement noted that the Texas locations are the firm's first in that state.
CityBiz reported that Gladstone Associates represented Peddock in its sale, and that Boardwalk Financial Partners facilitated the Yosemite and Threadgill deals. In the announcement, CEO Scott Dell'Orfano described the transactions as growth in key wealth centers.
Regulatory filings show a different asset figure. A Form ADV filing dated August 26, 2026, which the advisorcensus.com database lists for CW Advisors, LLC, reports about $15.2 billion in regulatory assets under management. That is a separate measure from the press figure. The same filing lists 152 total employees, 89 of whom perform advisory functions, and names Charles Schwab and Fidelity as custodians holding 10% or more of separately managed account assets. The filing's Item 11 reports four yes answers to disciplinary questions. The sources reviewed do not describe what those answers refer to, and readers can check the SEC record directly. The filing lists Scott Dell'Orfano, Richard Villiotte and Kenneth Zannoni as officers. The firm's principal office is at 155 Seaport Boulevard in Boston, and its SEC-registered adviser record carries CRD number 310873.
Background from InvestmentNews is that Ken Zannoni founded the firm in Boston in March 2009 as Congress Wealth Management, a fee-only RIA, and that it took the CW Advisors name in January 2024. Tracxn gives a 2004 founding date, but InvestmentNews and PitchBook support 2009. Audax Private Equity bought a majority stake in June 2023, and Audax said the firm's assets more than doubled during its roughly two-year hold through organic and acquired growth. Osaic agreed to buy the firm in June 2025, when InvestmentNews reported it managed more than $13 billion. Osaic's close was announced August 12, 2025, with the firm managing $14.5 billion in fee-only client assets. WealthManagement.com reported that Dell'Orfano was promoted to CEO from chief strategic officer at the start of 2025.
Osaic, formerly known as Advisor Group, is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to Wikipedia, and supports around 11,000 financial professionals, according to Financial Director Europe. Financial Planning reports that Reverence Capital Partners has majority-owned Osaic since 2019. Wikipedia records that Reverence acquired a 75% stake in Advisor Group for $2.3 billion that year, a purchase price rather than an asset figure. WealthManagement.com cited Osaic's $810 billion in assets under management and advisement, while Financial Planning cited more than $700 billion in assets under administration. Those are different measures and should not be compared directly. WealthManagement.com also reported that Reverence closed a recapitalization of Osaic this year that raised more than $2 billion, including from new investor Bain Capital. Osaic's CEO is Jamie Price, according to the company.
CW Advisors has been a steady acquirer. In February 2025 it added Aspire Wealth Management and Fernwood Investment Management, which Business Wire said brought 14 offices, 119 employees and $11 billion in assets. In March 2025 it acquired Delta Financial Group, a fee-only RIA with $1.3 billion in AUM based in New Jersey. In September 2025 it acquired Capital Management Services and CHB Investment Group, adding $575 million in AUM. Osaic's 2025 deal was described as keeping the firm's name and client service model, with the business continuing to operate independently.
The sources do not say which firms CW Advisors will acquire next, when the remaining deals are expected, or whether the firm's regulatory assets will be reconciled with its published total. The eight-deal target is the next measure to watch, along with how the three new offices and their advisors are integrated into the wider firm.
