Sarasota-based DeepVest has launched PlanLab, a financial planning capability linking 11 domains, included in its platform at no additional cost to advisors.

Wealth Solutions Report reported on October 16 that Sarasota-based DeepVest has launched PlanLab, a financial planning capability that the company says puts a household's finances into one view. The firm's launch release is dated October 15, and the product is positioned as part of DeepVest's wider platform for advisors and wealth management teams.

According to the release, PlanLab includes an interactive plan that covers 11 planning domains and maps 53 connections between them. PlanSponsor's coverage names ten areas, spanning retirement and tax planning, portfolio construction, estate matters, insurance, risk, client goals, behavioral considerations, household facts and business ownership.

Built-in calculators, per the release, handle Social Security timing, Roth conversion analysis, the order of withdrawals, required minimum distributions, estate taxes and yearly gifts. DeepVest describes these as deterministic, fixed-formula calculations rather than general-purpose AI output. A separate AI planning assistant can answer questions, test scenarios and draft recommendations, and the company says every AI recommendation requires advisor review and approval.

Advisors can connect CRM and custodial accounts to populate household data and holdings. Advisors may also feed in a prior plan document along with tax filings, account statements or trust paperwork, after which the software proposes changes for the advisor to sign off on. A separate diagnostic module scans for opportunities across taxes, cash positions, concentrated stock and foundational planning, refreshing every night. A plan drift metric tracks the distance between a client's current situation and their most recently recorded plan. The release adds that firms can keep their current planning software, with PlanLab taking in an existing plan to begin from.

The release says PlanLab is included in the DeepVest platform at no additional cost to advisors. A republication of the Sarasota-based coverage, carried by Europe Says, notes that the launch follows a discounted pricing offer for newly launched RIAs. According to globalfintechseries.com, Toby Wade is DeepVest's CEO and is quoted on the launch. Republished coverage of the release lists the platform's other components as AgentLab for investment research, AdvisorLab for client proposals, DataLab for market data and MonitorLab for monitoring and alerts. Interested advisors are directed to request a demo through the company's website.

DeepVest has launched several AI tools in 2026. Per the company's April 28 announcement, it introduced AI-powered portfolio personalization tools aimed at advisors and chief investment officers, including Advisor Hierarchy and Behavioral Investment Suitability Analysis. Trade coverage reported that an AI planning assistant followed in May, ahead of PlanLab. InvestmentNews additionally covered an earlier DeepVest research effort, which found that general-purpose AI models returned incorrect answers in 85% of investment tasks where they were prompted. That article did not include the study's date or methodology in the excerpt available for this report.

Key facts:
- PlanLab launch announced October 15, 2026, by Sarasota-based DeepVest
- Interactive plan covers 11 planning domains and maps 53 connections between them
- PlanLab included in the DeepVest platform at no additional cost to advisors, per the release
- Every AI recommendation requires advisor review and approval, according to the company
- Toby Wade is identified as DeepVest's CEO and is quoted on the launch

Why it matters: For advisors, the appeal of a bundled planning engine is that it can sit alongside existing planning software and pull in client data from CRM and custodial systems, reducing manual data entry. For firm leaders weighing a move to a new planning stack, the no-extra-cost structure changes the comparison, since planning tools are often priced separately. The launch materials do not disclose assets under management, advisor count or revenue, so the reach of the product remains unclear.
